Federal Plastics Accountability Plan
2025-2026 Federal Policy Team Project
Vice President of Policy: Arman Rostomyan
Policy Analysts: Alexander Stiuart, Daniel Levashki, Gargi Singh, Gulim Seitkul, James Owens, and Michael Aaron
This project examines the environmental and public health risks of single-use plastics—especially those used in bottled water, utensils, and food packaging—through a federal policy lens. Our team will analyze the safety and lifecycle impacts of materials like BPA plastics, aluminum cans, compostables, and edible packaging. Research will also assess regulatory gaps in agencies such as the FDA and EPA, drawing from successful state-level models and international frameworks.
